We have talked about taking an Airboat ride in the Everglades for years, and we finally did so the other day. There are over 1.5 Million acres in the Everglades National Park, about the same size as the state of Delaware! Approximately 1 million people visit this park every year; more people than live in Delaware! It’s amazing and a visit I highly recommend.
Cooperstown Airboats
My husband Bill researched and found Cooperstown Airboat Tours, rated best by the Miami Herald. They have been in business since 1945. We chose the private 2-hour tour for the four of us, and we’re so glad we did. The smaller airboat can take you through the “River of Grass” into areas inaccessible by the larger tour boats. It cost $150 per person but was well worth the experience.
