Introducing ARTwear by KSB
I have learned so much from other artists about ways to create everyday products and wearable art from your favorite paintings. First, I was introduced to Zazzle, and on that site, I have created products like coffee mugs, tote bags, T-shirts, and yoga pants. The yoga pants are well-made, and I ordered several for myself. You can see more at my store https://www.zazzle.com/store/artbyksb.
However, Zazzle’s clothing selection was limited, but another artist told me about Le Galeriste. I love their Kimonos and other very stylish items. The first painting I uploaded to Le Galeriste is my new collage, “My City.” All their products are made in Canada, which I love! I do not want products made in China. They created chic clothing items like this Kimono from the first painting I uploaded. I ordered one for myself and another for my friend Becky, who got me into this painting thing in the first place!
Although I have had iPhones for many years, I never took the time to learn how to take great photos. They were pretty good without adjusting, but I had to learn how to achieve the proper resolution to create clothing. That, plus lighting and rigging a stable structure to steady my iPhone, is critical.
Wearable Art
Scarves, dresses, shawls and more are now available online. At my storefront, https://www.legaleriste.com/art.by.ksb, you can order over 30 custom-made items. Stay tuned for more items.
Art as Therapy
I continue to be surprised by this new avocation. Adding collage to my art journey is so much fun; it makes me feel like a kid. When I was a child, I never played like this. I read a lot, played stickball or jumped rope, but never did anything like this.
